Foster with Rebels Rescue

Fostering an animal is one of the most impactful ways you can help save lives. When you foster, you provide a temporary home and care for a rescue animal while they wait for their forever family. Fosters are critical in helping us rescue more cats and dogs from shelters, giving them a loving and safe environment that allows them to thrive outside of a shelter setting. By opening your home to a foster pet, you not only save that animal's life but also make room for another to be rescued. Fostering is perfect for anyone who loves animals but isn't ready for the long-term commitment of adoption. Plus, it's incredibly rewarding!

Foster FAQs

How long will I need to foster?

Ideally, fosters care for animals until they are adopted, but we understand that circumstances vary. We welcome fosters for short-term stays or specific time periods based on your availability.

What am I expected to pay for?

You are responsible for basic supplies such as food, litter, and toys. Rebels Rescue covers all medical expenses for the animal, ensuring that fostering is affordable and accessible for everyone.

Can I foster to adopt?

Absolutely! If you're interested in adopting your foster animal, we're thrilled to facilitate the process.

What if I fall in love with my foster animal?

That's wonderful! If you bond with your foster pet and can't imagine life without them, you can adopt them and make it official.

What are my responsibilities as a foster?

As a foster, you're responsible for providing a clean, safe living environment, daily care, and attention. This includes offering food, litter, and toys, as well as ensuring the animal has enough space, especially if you have other pets. Additionally, we ask that you keep us updated on the animal's health, behavior, and progress.
